Family Flexible
Location:
Thornleigh NSW
Vintage:
Mark II, circa 1964
Modifications:
Our home was built for the original owners by Endeavour Constructions of Castle Hill in 1964. We bought the house in 1970 when our eldest son was a baby.
In 1975 the sewer was connected, which provided the opportunity to lay a concrete slab under the house for two car spaces. In the years since we added a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a dining room, a new back deck, and renovated the bathroom and kitchen. We also added a substantial room behind the laundry.
The original exterior colour scheme was white with black metal. Later it was white with mission brown beams, and currently it is white with green painted metal.
The Beachcomber Experience:
“Our Beachcomber has seen many family celebrations in the downstairs area, with up to 70 guests joining in our 21st, 40th, 50th, 60th and 70th birthday parties.
What we enjoy most is the outlook. Being on the high side of the street when we look out from our lounge or bedroom, all we see is a mass of trees.”
